Let’s Work Together
Redhill Town Films is opening submissions for The Redhill 12, a curated selection of 12 short film scripts to be developed and produced under the Redhill Town Films banner
Redhill Town Films believes the short form deserves more than it usually gets. Most strong short scripts never make it past the page, not for lack of talent, but for lack of access to the kind of crew, equipment, and producing support that turns a good idea into a finished film.
The Redhill 12 was created to change this.
We are selecting 12 short film scripts to develop and produce under the Redhill Town Films banner. Each selected piece will be brought to screen with full access to our professional production infrastructure, ARRI cinema equipment, experienced crew support, and dedicated BTS coverage, and released primarily through Redhill's distribution channels, with select films submitted to festivals where appropriate.
Submissions are reviewed by a committee of academic professors and creatives, ensuring that the strongest work, measured by craft, voice, and originality, rises to the top. Selections are limited and highly competitive, and each submission is carefully reviewed for creative strength, feasibility, and alignment with Redhill's vision.
If you have a short script that deserves to exist as a film, this is an opportunity to see it through.
Am I the director of my script?
This is fundamentally a script selection program. Every selected writer receives full on-screen writing credit.
Whether the writer also directs their own piece is determined on a case-by-case basis, based on factors including the writer's geographic location relative to our production base, prior directing experience, and the scope of the script. Some selected writers will direct their own films; others will see their scripts brought to life by a Redhill affiliated director. In either case, the writer remains closely involved in the development process.
If you are submitting primarily as a director, please indicate that in your submission so the committee can evaluate accordingly.
Who Should Submit?
This program is open to writers and directors of all backgrounds and locations, emerging or established, U.S. based or international. There are no entry restrictions.
Selected scripts should be designed for contained, focused execution; typically one to two locations, small casts, and dialogue or atmosphere driven storytelling. Productions are micro in scale but professional in craft.
